Nicht nur einen symbolischen Scheck, sondern ein Forschungspreis in Höhe von 500.000 Dollar hat gestern Prof. Dr. Ralf Bartenschlager (links) vom Hygiene-Institut des Universitätsklinikums Heidelberg erhalten. Das Geld steht dem renommierten Virusforscher ohne Auflagen für seine wissenschaftliche Arbeit zum Hepatitis-C-Virus zur Verfügung. Überreicht wurde die Ehrung von Richard Colonno (rechst), Vizepräsident im Forschungsbereich der Pharmazeutischen Firma Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS). Die BMS-Stiftung vergibt regelmäßig Forschungspreise an herausragende Wissenschaftler.
