An der Universität Dortmund nimmt heute eine große internationale Fachkonferenz über Aspekte von flüssigen und amorphen Metallen, von Legierungen und Halbleitern ihre Arbeit auf.
"LAM 10" ist das Kürzel für die 10. internationale Konferenz über "Liquid and Amorphous Metals", die zuletzt in Chicago, Wien und Kyoto stattfand. Die Tagung wird an der Universität Dortmund geleitet von Prof. Dr. Roland Winter, dem Leiter des Lehrstuhls Physikalische Chemie I.
Sie begann bereits gestern mit einer Get-together-Party für die rund 250 teilnehmenden Wissenschaftler aus aller Welt, die sich bis zum 4. September mit 300 Kurzvorträgen zu neuen Erkenntnissen aus ihrem Fachgebiet auseinandersetzen wollen. Neben grundwissenschaftlichen Erkenntnissen sind auch materialwissenschaftliche Aspekte Gegenstand der Tagung.
