Information leaflets “Earthquakes” and “Tsunami”
Safe, not just while on vacation: information leaflets “Earthquakes” and “Tsunami”
30.06.2015: At the beginning of the main vacation time the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences would like to point all holidaymakers and tourists who travel in earthquake-and tsunami-prone areas to its information leaflets "What to do when you experience a strong earthquake" and "Information on Tsunami".
The leaflets are intended to provide all those who are residing temporarily or for longer in potential risk areas abroad with advice on how to behave during strong earthquakes and tsunami. For those planning a longer stay, the information leaflets give advice on the establishment of a residence and workplace in potential earthquake zones.
A "World Map of Seismic Hazards" shows the main earthquake areas worldwide.
The information leaflets and more information about earthquakes around the world can be downloaded from the foot of the GFZ-website http://www.gfz-potsdam.de
