Professor Dr.-Ing. Dietmar Möller vertritt an der TU Clausthal seit dem 1. April 1992 das Lehr- und Forschungsgebiet Technische Informatik. Anläßlich seines diesjährigen Forschungsaufenthaltes an der California State University, Chico, wurde ihm der Titel eines Adjunct Professor der California State University, Chico, verliehen. Diese Professur berechtigt Professor Möller an der California State University, Chico, zu forschen und zu lehren.
Neben Professor Möller von der TU Clausthal gibt es in Deutschland noch einen weiteren international renommierten deutschen Informatiker, Professor Dr. Giloi von der TU Berlin, dem ebenfalls, in Anerkennung seiner wissenschaftlichen Leistungen, der Titel Adjunct Professor von der amerikanischen Universität Tuscon, Arizona, verliehen wurde.
