Die Hochschule für Telekommunikation Leipzig (HfTL) verleiht an Dr.-Ing. Andreas Hartmann für die Dauer seiner Tätigkeit an der HfTL den Titel „Professor“.
Seit Oktober 2015 lehrt Prof. Dr.-Ing. Hartmann im Fachgebiet „Praktische Informatik“ mit dem Schwerpunkt Software-Engineering unterschiedliche Themenfelder der IT-Governance, IT-Architektur und des IT-Managements.
Vor seiner Berufung als Hochschullehrer verantwortete Prof. Dr.-Ing. Hartmann
strategische IT-Projekte des Bundesministeriums für Verkehr und digitale Infrastruktur (BMVI).
Die HfTL ist eine durch das sächsische Staatsministerium für Wissenschaft und Kunst (SMWK) anerkannte private Hochschule in Trägerschaft der HfTL-Trägergesellschaft mbH, einer hundertprozentigen Beteiligung der Deutschen Telekom AG.
Die HfTL steht für Lehre und Forschung im Bereich der Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien und ist die einzige deutsche Hochschule mit diesem Spezialprofil. Sie bildet rund 1.200 Studierende in den direkten, dualen und berufsbegleitenden Bachelorstudiengängen Informations- und Kommunikationstechnik, Wirtschaftsinformatik, Kommunikations- und Medieninformatik, Angewandte Informatik, sowie in den Masterstudiengängen Wirtschaftsinformatik und Informations- und Kommunikationstechnik aus.
