IP Cores for Low Latency Video Coding
Fraunhofer HHI shows two specific hardware implementations of a H.264 video codec with an outstanding ultra low latency. Due to the optimized design, the requirements in terms of hardware resources and power consumption are quite low. The video codecs ULLVC and ELLVC are suitable for a variety of applications, where simple to integrate, standard-compliant video codecs are required, e.g. video conferencing or surveillance.
