Düsseldorf/Vallendar, Germany, June 30, 2016. WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management achieved outstanding results in the recently published Universum Talent Survey 2016. The students in the survey particularly praised the excellent career opportunities and study conditions, close networking with alumni and employers, and the distinctive entrepreneurial spirit at WHU.

Professor Dr. Markus Rudolf, Dean of WHU emphasized: "We are particularly pleased that our students attest to top study conditions at WHU in the Universum Talent Survey 2016." WHU students awarded 8.6 out of 10 possible points on average for overall satisfaction with their University. By comparison, as an entire group, business students in Germany awarded just 7.3 points on average. "That more than 90 percent of our students value the entrepreneurial action and thinking they encounter at WHU, along with the wealth of networking opportunities with employers, students and alumni, is particularly encouraging, as these are absolute core competences at WHU," Rudolf added.

At 8.7 out of a possible 10 points, the likelihood that WHU students would recommend the University to others is also far higher than the German average of 7.5 points. WHU students are also very satisfied with their career opportunities. Without exception, all of the students surveyed at WHU make use of the University's Career Service, compared to 76 percent of business students at other universities. 52 percent of WHU students taking part in the survey also awarded their Career Service the maximum score of 10 out of 10 points.

Students also value the numerous opportunities to acquire practical experience within the framework of their studies at WHU. 92 percent of the students believe that employers in their field view WHU as a target university. The students also highly appreciated the international focus of WHU, especially the possibilities of studying abroad.

Universum, an international consulting company, surveys more than 700,000 students each year about their career plans and employer preferences. A total of 45,114 students at German universities were surveyed for the Universum Talent Survey 2016. 15,352 of the respondents were aspiring economists.
