Das führende französische Biocluster Genopole veranstaltet zum sechsten Mal den Wettbewerb “Young Biotech Award” für Start-ups im Bereich Umwelt, Ernährung und Landwirtschaft bzw. Industrie (außer der Medizinbranche). In diesem Jahr können auch internationale Projekte und Start-ups an diesem Wettbewerb teilnehmen.
Der Wettbewerb wendet sich an Forscher, Unternehmer oder Studenten. Ziel ist es, innovative Projekte oder junge Biotech-Unternehmen (max. drei Jahre) zu entdecken und im Genopole Biopark zu entwickeln. Die Preisträger erhalten eine Förderung zum Start ihrer Aktivitäten oder zur Entwicklung ihrer Projekte. Der erste Preis beträgt 100.000 Euro.
Der Wettbewerb steht unter der Schirmherrschaft des französischen Ministeriums für Bildung, Hochschulen und Forschung, des Wirtschafts- und des Umweltministeriums.
