Cornelia Betsch ist neue Heisenberg-Professorin für Gesundheitskommunikation an der Philosophischen Fakultät der Uni Erfurt.
Die studierte Psychologin wurde 2006 in Heidelberg promoviert. Sie wechselte später nach Erfurt, wo sie zunächst als Akademische Rätin an der Erziehungswissenschaftlichen Fakultät tätig war. 2013 folgte hier ihre Habilitation mit einer Arbeit zur Rolle von Risikowahrnehmung und Risikokommunikation bei Präventionsentscheidungen am Beispiel der Impfentscheidung. Die Psychologin ist eine der Initiatorinnen des neuen Master-Studiengangs Gesundheitskommunikation, der zum Wintersemester 2017/18 erfolgreich an der Uni Erfurt gestartet ist.
