Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung (BAM)

Berlin, 22.02.2018. The Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung (BAM) will attend the European Career Fair (ECF) of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) for the second time on 24 February in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA. As part of the joint German presence, BAM will present information about the diverse career opportunities the German departmental research institution has to offer at its stand D19.

"Young scientists are top of mind for BAM," said BAM President Prof. Ulrich Panne. "German departmental research needs fresh talents to stay competitive and BAM offers many attractive research opportunities for young scientists."

BAM will also participate in the ECF Research in Germany workshop on 25 February. Together with the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR), BAM will offer counselling sessions for postdocs and information on career paths and promotion for young scientists. The workshop is organised by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research as part of the campaign Research in Germany – Country of Ideas.

The MIT ECF is the largest European career fair in the US, where highly qualified graduates from top US universities such as MIT, Yale and Harvard can find out about job prospects in Germany and Europe.
