From 24 September 2018 until 29 September 2018 the 4th Summer School on Sustainable Chemistry for Sustainable Development will take place at the Leuphana University of Luneburg in Germany. This year the challenges and advantages of chemistry for a sustainable habitation and construction will be the main focus of the school. Participants will develop strategies to optimize the usage of chemical products in this field as well as elaborate possible approaches and solutions.
Right at the beginning, when it comes to designing the construction, the sustainable usage of resources and chemicals needs to be taken into consideration. The example of construction materials and materials for habitation will help to examine prerequisites, opportunities and limits within this scope of application.
Knowledge sharing among the participants will surely encourage interesting discussions and sharpen the view for current problems all over the world but especially in developing countries. Besides a theoretical training there will also be practical exercises. On top of this participants will get the opportunity to take part in an excursion to a pattern building area and/or to a specific trade show.
The Summer School aims at academics and young professionals in the field of sustainable chemistry. The attendance is free of charge. Registration is now open until 15 July 2018.
