Young scientists who have made industrially profound contributions to biochemical engineering during their PhD thesis are invited to apply for the DECHEMA Industrial Bioprocess Award. The award that is offered for the second time comes with €5,000 prize money and is being sponsored by the industrial members of the DECHEMA working party “Biochemical Engineering“.
This group focuses on the biotechnical production of fine and bulk chemicals as well as biopharmaceuticals by means of enzymes, prokaryotic or eukaryotic cells. The topics comprise the whole spectrum of modern biochemical engineering:
• from genes to products
• from μL to production scale
• from upstream to downstream
Young scientists who have finished their thesis between December 2017 and November 2018 are invited to submit their application online. Deadline for the submission of applications is 01 December 2018. The successful candidates will be awarded with the prize at the “Himmelfahrtstagung 2019” and are invited to give a presentation there.
