ESMT Berlin has received the international EQUIS accreditation for an additional five years, the maximum period for this accreditation. Awarded by the global education association EFMD, the EQUIS accreditation controls the quality of the entire institution.
Business schools must demonstrate academic excellence, strong internationalization, as well as relevance through close cooperation with companies in order to qualify. According to the report of the accrediting body, ESMT has achieved a remarkable amount since it was founded in 2002, and its activities are fully consistent with its distinctive, sometimes unique, position and aspirations.
With its re-accreditation, ESMT continues to bear the "Triple Crown", made up of the successful accreditations of the world’s three leading business education accrediting bodies AACSB (since 2012), AMBA (since 2009), and EQUIS (since 2015).
Jörg Rocholl, President of ESMT, said: “For ESMT Berlin, the re-accreditation by EQUIS for the maximal length of time illustrates that we are achieving the high standard of educational excellence for which we strive. With its focus on the quality of the entire institution, the accreditation is a valuable benchmark for a leading business school such as ESMT.”
