Auf dem Weltkongreß der International Association of Agricultural Medicine and Rural Health (IAMRH) in Bangkok ist Prof. Dr. Hans-Joachim Hannich, Leiter des Instituts für Medizinische Psychologie, als einziger Deutscher in das Executive Bureau der Gesellschaft gewählt worden. Es gibt nun eine gute Chance, den Weltkongreß der Gesellschaft im Jahre 2006 in Greifswald abzuhalten. Hierzu würden 600 Wissenschaftler und Praktiker aus den Bereichen Community Medicine, Public Health und Familienmedizin aus der gesamten Welt in Greifswald erwartet.
