Isabel Schnabel, Spokesperson of the Cluster of Excellence ECONtribute and Professor of Financial Economics at the University of Bonn, has been appointed as member of the newly launched Franco-German Council of Economic Experts.
During the 50th meeting of the Franco-German Economic and Financial Council, the Franco-German Council of Economic Experts was launched. It comprises five French and five German leading economic experts.
German members of the Council are, besides Isabel Schnabel, member of the German Council of Economic Experts, the chairman of the German Council of Economic Experts and president of RWI Essen, Christoph M. Schmidt, Nicola Fuchs-Schündeln, Professor of Economics at the University of Frankfurt, and the presidents of two leading research institutes in Economics, DIW and ifo, Marcel Fratzscher and Clemens Fuest. Among the French members is the current chairman of the French Conseil d’analyse économique (CAE), Philippe Martin.
