Das philosophische Forschungsinstitut für Medien und Kultur im Fachbereich I der Universität Trier veranstaltet eine Vortragsreihe zum Thema "Medien und Kultur" im Wintersemester 2003/2004. Die Vorträge finden jeweils um 18.00 Uhr c.t. in Hörsaal 10 statt. Start ist am 03. Dezember 2003 mit dem Vortrag "Die Kulturbedeutung der Medien" von Prof. Dr. Ernst Wolfgang Orth. Dr. Ralf Becker spricht zum Thema "Auf verlorenem Posten. Zur Rolle des Subjekts in der Medienphilosophie" (17. Dezember 2003). "Kanal, Zeichen, Spur. Die Funktion der Medien" ist der Titel von HD Dr. Christian Bermes (14. Januar 2004). Prof. Dr. Peter Welsen spricht über "Die Erzählung als Medium personaler Identität" (21. Januar 2004). "Code, System und Konflikt" heißt der Vortrag von Prof. Dr. Klaus Fischer (28. Januar). Prof. Dr. Dirk Rustemeyer spricht über "Die Paradoxie des Dritten" (04. Februar), und zum Abschluss hält Prof. Dr. Alois Hahn einen Vortrag zu "Niklas Luhmanns Kulturbegriff" (11. Februar).
