Berliner Experte hält Vortrag im offiziellen Programm des Genfer Gipfels am 10. Dezember - über die Auswirkungen der Informations- und Kommunikationstechnik (IKT) auf Umwelt und Gesundheit. Eín neues Internetportal dokumentiert die aktuellen Forschungen des Instituts zur nachhaltigen IKT.
Aufgrund der langjährigen Arbeit des Berliner "IZT - Institut für Zukunftsstudien und Technologiebewertung" zum Thema "nachhaltige Informations- und Kommunikationstechnik" wurden Wissenschaftler des IZT als Experten zur UN-Weltkonferenz zur Informationsgesellschaft nach Genf eingeladen. Lorenz Erdmann, Dipl.-Ing. Technischer Umweltschutz, wird für das IZT am 10. Dezember den Vortrag im offiziellen Programm des Genfer Gipfels halten. Titel seiner Präsentation: "Auswirkungen der Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien auf Umwelt und Gesundheit" ("The Digital Unknown: Assessing the Impact of Information and Communication Technologies on Human Environment and Health").

Das Berliner IZT - Institut für Zukunftsstudien und Technologiebewertung bietet gemeinsam mit dem SFZ - Sekretariat für Zukunftsforschung (Dortmund) ein neues Internetportal zur nachhaltigen Informationsgesellschaft an. Es dokumentiert aktuelle Forschungsvorhaben zur nachhaltigen IKT. Diese Plattform wird vom Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung gefördert.
