Max-Planck-Preisträger kommen aus den Instituten für Biochemie (Martinsried), biophysikalische Chemie (Göttingen) und Radioastronomie (Bonn)
Der mit 100.000 Euro dotierte Forschungspreis der Philip Morris Stiftung geht in diesem Jahr an den Biophysiker Prof. Peter Fromherz, Max-Planck-Institut für Biochemie, den Astrophysiker Prof. Karl Menten, Max-Planck-Institut für Radioastronomie, die Biophysikerin Prof. Petra Schwille, Technische Universität Dresden und zuvor Max-Planck-Institut für biophysikalische Chemie, sowie den Finanzwissenschaftler Prof. Bernd Raffelhüschen, Universität Freiburg. Die vier ausgezeichneten Projekte beschäftigen sich mit dem Zusammenspiel winziger Proteine in lebenden Zellen, Brücken zwischen Nervenzellen und Computern, dem Rätsel der ältesten Sterne des Universums sowie finanziellen Lasten für kommende Generationen. Der Preis wird am 26. Mai 2004 in München verliehen.
