Current developments in microsystems technology open up new possibilities for providing reliable support and long-term relief for both home care and care facilities through the targeted use of intelligent technical solutions.
As part of the COMPAMED Innovation Forum event series, current medical technology topics are presented once a year and discussed among experts to identify current challenges and solutions. The forum is also regarded as a trend preview for the COMPAMED trade fair, the largest European platform for suppliers to the medical manufacturing industry.
Artificial intelligence and high-tech sensors: three digital afternoon sessions show innovative concepts for dementia patients
Due to the current travel and contact restrictions in many countries, the COMPAMED Innovation Forum will be held this year for the first time as a digital event series. The main topic of the three sessions, which will take place in the afternoon of July 16, 23 and 30, 2020, is "High-tech support for dementia patients".
The German-speaking sessions focus on "Social and medical care for dementia patients", "Body-based sensor technology for the care of dementia patients" and "Challenges in interior design for dementia patients". The event covers topics like the use of artificial intelligence to the detection and influencing of patients with dementia via "hidden" body-hugging sensors to monitor fluid intake, the observation of wound healing processes or gait analysis and innovative room concepts, which can create a safe and comfortable living environment for dementia patients by means of technical equipment.
Miniaturized high-tech solutions enable support and relief in care
This year's event once again aims to bring together manufacturers and developers of technical solutions and innovations with users in order to align future technical developments as closely as possible align with practical needs.
