Berufung von Dr. David F. Lupton zum Honorarprofessor an die Fachhochschule Jena
Jena. Am Mittwoch, d. 31. März 2004, wurde Dr. David Francis Lupton zum Honorarprofessor an die Fachhochschule Jena berufen.
Prof. Dr. Lupton lehrt seit 1995 im Fachbereich Werkstofftechnik an der FH "Metallurgie" und "Metallische Hochtemperaturstoffe".
Der international ausgewiesene Wissenschaftler kann u.a. auf 30 Patente verweisen.
Prof. Dr. Lupton kam in der Zeit der politischen Wende nach Deutschland und hat die Jahre des demokratischen Aufbaus intensiv miterlebt.
Die ausgewogene Verbindung von Forschung, Lehre und Praxis - David Lupton ist Entwicklungsleiter des Geschäftsbereichs Engineered Materials Division im Hanauer Unternehmen Heraeus GmbH & Co. KG - ist für ihn auch persönlich wichtig.
Seinen Studenten vermittelt der gebürtige Brite den aktuellsten Stand der industriellen Entwicklung und unmittelbare Praxisnähe. In seinen kommenden Forschungsvorhaben wird sich Professor Lupton dem Platingruppen-Metall Iridium widmen.
