Andreas Fischer leaves the MHH

Stefan Zorn Stabsstelle Kommunikation
Medizinische Hochschule Hannover

President thanks member of the Presidential Board

Hannover Medical School (MHH) regrets that Andreas Fischer is resigning from his position as a member of the MHH Executive Board. Since March 2021, the architect has driven forward the planning for the new hospital building also in his function as Managing Director of "Hochschulmedizin Bau- und Gebäudemanagement Hannover" (HBG). As the person responsible for infrastructure at the MHH, he was decisive in preparing the steps for the maintenance of the existing buildings. Andreas Fischer intends to devote himself to other tasks in his home in southern Germany.

"We thank Mr Fischer for his commitment to the campus and his input for the new building measures and wish him all the best for the future," says Professor Dr Michael Manns, President of the MHH. "Mr Fischer's team will manage the progress of the measures, so we do not have to expect any project delays."

Andreas Fischer's tasks will be taken over on an interim basis by the remaining three members of the Presidential Board.
