Interdisziplinäre Projektteams arbeiten gemeinsam an praktischen Lösungen für resiliente Regionen in Südostasien. Das Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF) fördert das Projekt.
Das Forschungsprojekt wird an der HCU von der Professur “Digital City Science” unter der Leitung von Prof. Dr. Jörg Noennig betreut. In Kooperation mit der Technischen Hochschule Lübeck und TÜV Rheinland Consulting werden über 150 Verbundprojekte in Südostasien gefördert und anhand von wissenschaftlicher Begleitforschung, projektübergreifenden Synergien und Transferpotenzialen unterstützt. "SURE" steht für „Sustainable Development of Urban Regions“. Das Projekt läuft bis ins Jahr 2025.
Das Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung fördert das Projekt im Rahmen der Strategie „Forschung für Nachhaltigkeit” (FONA).
