For over 50 years ZiF at Bielefeld University has been funding innovative and outstanding interdisciplinary research projects. Since the academic system and its conditions are constantly changing and evolving, the funding formats have been redesigned with a focus on their flexibility.
Three new group formats (Research in Groups):
• Visiting Groups: 1 to 3 months; up to 50,000 euros to cover the costs for travel and accommodation as well as workshops and conferences; personnel expenses (buy-outs) cannot be covered
• Resident Groups: 4 bis 6 months; up to 400,000 euros to cover the costs for travel and accommodation as well as workshops, conferences, and personnel expenses (e.g. in the form of buy-outs)
• Long-Term Groups: several visits to ZiF over a period of up to three years; these recurring visits may add up to a total of ten months; up to 200,000 euros to cover the costs for travel and accommodation as well as workshops and conferences; personnel expenses (buy-outs) cannot be covered
The detailed current call for proposals (upcoming deadlines: 5 May and 8 December 2022) can be found on the ZiF website: https://www.uni-bielefeld.de/(en)/ZiF/Foerderung/group-formats.html.

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.
You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).
Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.
You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).
If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
