Um Horror und Fantastik geht es im Sommersemester bei der Filmreihe des Afrikazentrums der Universität, dem IWALEWA-Haus.
Bayreuth (UBT). Um Horror und Fantastik geht es im Sommersemester bei der Filmreihe des Afrikazentrums der Universität, dem IWALEWA-Haus. Zu sehen sind amerikanische Produktionen, in denen Afrika und die Karibik eine besondere, "horrorfikante" Rolle spielen. Gezeigt werden aber auch neuere, in Nigeria und Ghana selbst produzierte Horrorvideos.
Den Auftakt macht am Mittwoch (28. April, 18.00 Uhr c.t., Seminarraum des IWALEWA-Hauses, Münzgasse 9) der 1949 von Charles Barton gedrehte Film "Africa Screams." Auf der Jagd nach Diamanten gelangen die beiden Helden Bad Abott und Lou Costello in die Fänge eines Kannibalenstamms, dem sie aber mit Hilfe eines Riesenaffen entkommen.
