Nach der afrikanischen Reklamekunst (2002) ist Africa Screams nun der zweite Teil der vom IWALEWA-Haus, dem Afrikazentrum der Universität, konzipierten Ausstellungs-Trilogie zur Moderne Afrikas. Sie wird in zwei Jahren mit Afropolis, einem Projekt über Stadterfahrung und Bildkunst ihren Abschluss finden.
Zur Ausstellung "Africa Screams", die vom 29. April bis zum 12. September gezeigt wird (Münzgasse 9, Bayreuth), erscheint ein reich bebildertes Katalogbuch mit 20 Textbeiträgen renommierter Autoren.
Vernissage für die Ausstellung ist der kommende Donnerstag. Mit dabei sind u.a. der Bayreuther Afroromanist Professor Dr. Janós Riesz sowie der Leiter des IWALEWA-Hauses Dr. Tobias Wendl.
