IPP introduces new logo

Frank Fleschner Öffentlichkeitsarbeit
Max-Planck-Institut für Plasmaphysik

The Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics (IPP) is adopting the corporate design of the Max Planck Society from this week. The changeover will take place with an extended transition period that will last until 2023.

The representation of the Roman goddess Minerva in green, the trademark of the Max Planck Society (MPG), now forms the logo of the IPP together with the institute's name. With this change, the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics is following an initiative of the MPG to standardise the visual appearance of all Max Planck Institutes. The Institute is thus gradually parting with the previous blue logo, which has stood for excellence in fusion research since 1996. During a transitional period, it will continue to be used in some places until next year.

In the first step, the IPP's digital presence will be converted. Print products will continue to be used for the time being.

The abbreviation IPP will remain valid.
