TU9, the Alliance of leading Technical Universities in Germany, will be represented at the an-nual conference and talent fair of the German Academic International Network (GAIN) with several events from September 2 to 4, 2022. In workshops, discussion panels, and at the Tal-ent Fair, TU9 representatives will provide advice on funding opportunities and career paths at TU9 Universities.

TU9 President Prof. Dr.-Ing. Wolfram Ressel, Rector of the University of Stuttgart, is looking forward to the personal exchange in Bonn after the last two virtual GAIN meetings: “GAIN22 offers great opportunities to meet not only talented scientists from all disciplines, but also del-egates from German science and politics. It is particularly gratifying that TU9 will again be rep-resented in numerous events at GAIN22, which is being held in Germany for the first time, as well as at the Talent Fair.”
In the “Forum: Natural Sciences and Engineering” (Sept. 2, 3:30 p.m.), Prof. Dr.-Ing. Wolfram Ressel will speak with Dr. Jorge A. The workshop “The Tenure-Track Professorship in Germany” (Sept. 3, 2:00 p.m.) offers partici-pants the opportunity to talk with Prof. Dr. Angela Ittel and funded tenure-track professors such as Prof. Dr. Alina Machner, TT Prof. of the TU Munich, and other representatives of German universities.
In addition, TU9 representatives will participate in other workshops such as “Individual Career Paths in Science – Actively Shaping Career Phases and Transitions while Taking Funding Op-portunities into Account” (Sept. 3, 10:00 a.m.), “Leading and Being Led in Science” (Sept. 3, 10:00 a.m.), “Insights into Appointment Procedures: Dos and Don’ts” (Sept. 4, 10:00 a.m.), “Founding as a Career Opportunity” (Sept. 4, 10:45 a.m.) and “Postdocs in the Strategic Focus of Universities and Optimal Negotiations for Initial Appointments” (Sept. 4, 10:45 a.m.).

    Help

Search / advanced search of the idw archives
    Combination of search terms

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.

    Brackets

You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).

    Phrases

Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.

    Selection criteria

You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).

If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
