Auszeichnung für bahnbrechenden Arbeiten zur Erforschung der molekularen und zellulären Vorgänge bei der Informationsspeicherung im Gehirn
Die Hamburger Ernst Jung-Stiftung ehrt in diesem Jahr Tobias Bonhoeffer, Direktor am Max-Planck-Institut für Neurobiologie in Martinsried, mit dem Ernst Jung-Preis für Medizin. Mit 250.000 Euro ist der Preis eine der höchst dotierten und angesehensten Medizin-Auszeichnungen in Europa. Bonhoeffer erhält die Auszeichnung gemeinsam mit Stuart Lipton, Burnham Institute, La Jolla, U.S.A., am 14. Mai 2004 in Hamburg.
