World Health Summit 2022: Together with WHO and Government Officials from around the world

World Health Summit

    The world’s leading global health conference starts on October 16th in Berlin

    Climate change and health, pandemic preparedness, food security, digital transformation, sustainable health systems, and the role of Germany, the G7 and the G20 in global health – issues like these are topping the agenda of the World Health Summit 2022 from October 16-18 in Berlin. For the first time the World Health Summit will be co-organized by the World Health Organization (WHO). Over 300 speakers from all regions of the world are expected at the three-day event: over 20 government representatives and ministers, representatives from academia, industry, civil society, and international organizations, as well as around 40 representatives from WHO.

    Journalists can apply for on-site accreditation until October 12, please find all details below.

    Among the confirmed speakers for the opening ceremony on Sunday, October 16 at 6 PM CET, are: German Chancellor Scholz, WHO Director-General Tedros, UNICEF Executive Director Russell, and via video UN Secretary-General Guterres and French President Macron.

    WHS 2022 will be the first joint World Health Summit co-hosted with WHO and will be held under the patronage of German Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz, French President Emmanuel Macron, and WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.
    Aims of WHS 2022 are to strengthen exchange, stimulate innovative solutions to health challenges, foster global health as a key political issue and promote a global health conversation in the spirit of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
