Frankfurt am Main, Dec. 1, 2022

The Executive Board of the German Rubber Society (DKG) appoints its current Head of Office as the new Managing Director as of January 1, 2023. In the years 2021 and 2022 Prof. Dr. Andreas Limper, had worked in this position – besides his engagement in the Executive Board.

"The decision to appoint Mr. Zeiner as Managing Director was unanimous," said Dr. Issel, chairman of the board. "In the short time that Mr. Zeiner has been active in DKG, he has already been able to set some accents and has proven that he can lead an organization like DKG and also set new impulses!".

Michael Patrick Zeiner was first introduced as the new head of the office in May 2022. The Historian and Political Scientist studied at the universities of Freiburg, Bologna, Berlin and Vienna. He initially worked as a Consultant in university administration before moving to Europe's largest trade association, the VDMA, in Frankfurt in 2016. There, as a Consultant of Educational Policy, he was responsible for representing the association's political interests in education policy issues and committees.

"With Mr. Zeiner, we have been able to win a well-connected and expert of association work and the educational policy landscape for DKG," says Prof. Dr. Andreas Limper. " Mr. Zeiner's experience in education policy and the organization of networking events of all kinds, are of great value to us”.

"The board is convinced that Mr. Zeiner will be able to further develop DKG in the coming years. Together with the board, DKG committees and our members, Mr. Zeiner will ensure that we live up to our claim of being an outstanding scientific platform for our industry, says Dr. Issel. And adds: "We look forward to working together!".
