The Dean of HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management, Prof. Dr. Stephan Stubner, is resigning from his position with immediate effect for family reasons. In a letter to the Supervisory Board and the Shareholders' Meeting, he thanked them for the trust they have placed in him since his appointment as Rector in 2017 and the opportunities they have given him to shape the university.

HHL - Chancellor Prof. Dr. Tobias Dauth:

"On behalf of HHL, I would like to thank Prof. Dr. Stephan Stubner for the trustful and successful cooperation. As a professor, founder and business angel, Stephan Stubner has advanced the topic of entrepreneurship at HHL and beyond. Of course, we respect his decision and look forward to continuing to work with him as Chair of Strategic Management and Digital Entrepreneurship."

The responsible bodies will take up the multi-stage procedure for succession in office in a timely manner. Following the proposal and resolution of the Supervisory Board, the decision will first be made by the Shareholders' Meeting of HHL gGmbH and then by the University Senate.

Stubner will remain holder of the Porsche AG Chair of Strategic Management and Digital Entrepreneurship and will return to HHL after a sabbatical.
