"Hervorragend und beispielhaft konzipiert und realisiert": Mit diesen Worten begründete Prof. Dr. Gerhard Zimmer von der Helmut-Schmidt-Universität / Universität der Bundeswehr die Verleihung der Comenius-Medaille an die IWF-Produktion "Die Zelle IV: Kern des Lebens - Vom Gen zum Protein".
Die Comenius-Medaille ist die höchste Auszeichnung, die das Institut für Bildung und Medien der Gesellschaft für Pädagogik und Information e.V. (GPI) vergibt. Mit Comenius-Auszeichnungen werden moderne Bildungsmedien prämiert, bei denen, so der Vorstandsvorsitzende der GPI, Prof. Dr. Gerhard Ortner, "der Inhalt und nicht die Technik im Vordergrund steht."
