Am Samstag, den 30. November 2024 veranstaltet die Popakademie Baden-Württemberg in Kooperation mit dem Kulturamt der Stadt Mannheim und dem europäischen Schlagzeug- und Perkussionsverband „Percussion Creativ“ das zehnte World Drum Festival. Kuratiert wird das World Drum Festival in diesem Jahr von Anika Nilles
„Ich freue mich sehr, die Jubiläumsausgabe des World Drum Festivals zu kuratieren. Wir laden alle interessierten Drummerinnen und Drummern sowie Perkussionistinnen und Perkussionisten zum World Drum Festival an der Popakademie ein“, so Anika Nilles, Künstlerisch/fachliche Beratung & Projektbetreuung Drums an der Popakademie Baden-Württemberg.
Mit dabei in diesem Jahr sind: Gergo Borlai (Drums), Simon Gattringer (Drums / Hybrid), Martina Barakoska (Drums), Arthur Dubois (Drums / Hybrid), Claudio Spieler (Percussion), Melissa Hié (Percussion).
