In a city renowned for its diversity and constant evolution, the BI Summer School 2024 provided a platform to deeply explore the topic of urban housing. With a focus on the existing problems and challenges of Berlin's housing situation, participants were given the opportunity to understand and design forward-looking architectural concepts by engaging in hands-on workshops and in-depth analyses of Berlin's urban environment.
The BI Summer School 2024 offered an intensive and collaborative learning environment, where participants benefited not only from the expertise of international professionals but also from the exchange of ideas within a multicultural group. The event, held at the BI Campus on Salzufer 6 in Berlin, enabled participants to put their theoretical knowledge into practice while simultaneously building a broad network within the architecture and planning industry.
It was a unique opportunity not only to discuss housing issues theoretically but also to work concretely on solutions for Berlin's specific challenges. Collaborating with people from diverse cultural and academic backgrounds broadened perspectives and fostered new approaches.
The BI Summer School 2024 was open to students and graduates of architecture and related disciplines, as well as young professionals with up to three years of experience. The event was conducted in English, reflecting the international scope of the program.
The BI Summer School clearly demonstrated the importance and productivity of interdisciplinary and international exchange in addressing the socio-urban challenges of our time. Berlin, as the backdrop for these intensive discussions and workshops, provided the ideal context for developing innovative, forward-thinking solutions in the field of housing.
