ZPID journals in the Web of Science

Two Open Access Journals from the "PsychOpen GOLD" platform of the Leibniz Institute for Psychology (ZPID) included in esteemed index Web of Science

The Leibniz Institute for Psychology (ZPID) aims to make high-quality psychological research both freely accessible and more visible. To this end, it publishes various journals under PsychOpen GOLD. The Web of Science Core Collection, one of the world's leading scientific citation databases, has added two more PsychOpen GOLD journals to its index. "Clinical Psychology in Europe" (CPE) and "Social Psychological Bulletin" (SPB) have thus received important recognition for their scientific quality. Both journals are published on ZPID's PsychOpen GOLD platform, which publishes psychological journals free of charge for authors, editors, and readers alike. With the inclusion of CPE and SPB, ZPID strengthens its presence in this prestigious index: Previously, other PsychOpen GOLD journals were already indexed in the Web of Science Core Collection, including Europe's Journal of Psychology (EJOP), Journal of Social and Political Psychology (JSPP), Methodology: European Journal of Research Methods for the Behavioral and Social Sciences (METH), and Biolinguistics.

"Clinical Psychology in Europe" (CPE), the official academic journal of the European Association of Clinical Psychology and Psychological Treatment (EACLIPT), provides a platform for clinical psychological research in Europe, covering diverse approaches, topics, and conceptual perspectives. "Social Psychological Bulletin" (SPB) publishes empirical research, theoretical review papers, and methodological contributions in the field of basic and applied social psychology and actively promotes standards of open science. The Web of Science Core Collection is curated by a team of experts and is characterized by strict selection criteria that consider both editorial quality and scientific impact of the included journals. Inclusion in the Web of Science Core Collection not only increases the visibility of research published through CPE and SPB but also enables a more accurate assessment of its impact through metrics such as the Journal Impact Factor.
