Companies are increasingly having to make their production processes more efficient, flexible and resource-efficient. The digital transformation – from smart factories to networked supply chains – is therefore key to economic success and to securing a competitive edge. Accordingly, there is a high demand for qualified specialists and managers. The Professional School of Leuphana University Lüneburg offers the part-time MBA in Digital Production Management, a scientifically based continuing education program that teaches precisely these skills. The next start of studies is in April 2025. Applications are open until January 31.
The three-semester MBA program combines theoretical knowledge with practical applications. Students not only learn about current technologies such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT) and big data in theory, but also test their use in Leuphana's digital learning factory. Here they learn how even the smallest changes can have a major impact on production processes.
Graduates of the program are able to apply innovative technologies in a targeted manner to optimize production and logistics processes. With their strategic approach and entrepreneurial know-how, they help to shape the digital transformation in companies and to make them future-proof.
"Companies that fully exploit the potential of digitalization today can not only sustainably strengthen their competitiveness, but also drive innovation faster and use resources more efficiently," says Prof. Dr.-Ing. Matthias Schmidt. "The MBA Digital Production Management therefore offers clear advantages not only to students, but also to employers."
Prospective students can learn more about the MBA in Digital Production Management on January 11, 2025, as part of the Professional School's online information day for part-time students. Ulrike Kahlfeldt, the program coordinator (dpm@leuphana.de, phone 04131.677-1867), is also available for personal consultations.
