Hof – Under the title "Global Minds, Local Care – International Expertise for German Nursing Innovation," Hof University of Applied Sciences, together with Lingoda GmbH and Match Pflege, is hosting a groundbreaking nursing congress on March 13, 2025. The event will take place on the Hof University campus (Alfons-Goppel-Platz 1) and offers an inspiring platform for the exchange of knowledge and best practices regarding the competencies and integration of international nursing professionals.
Nurses, researchers, representatives of educational institutions, hospitals, care facilities, government agencies, and professional associations—the congress targets a wide audience within the healthcare sector.
"With the international nursing congress, we aim to initiate a much-needed dialogue about integrating international nursing professionals and developing practical solutions for the nursing workforce shortage. Our goal is to bring together knowledge about global education systems and nursing cultures to foster mutual understanding and present innovative strategies for successful professional integration," says Prof. Dr. Matthias Drossel, Professor of Applied Healthcare Services at Hof University and the scientific director of the congress.
The pressing question: How can integration in the nursing sector succeed?
The shortage of nursing professionals is one of Germany's most significant challenges. Recruiting and integrating foreign nursing professionals can be part of the solution. But what skills do international nursing professionals bring, and how can their integration be mutually beneficial while effectively utilizing their qualifications? Leading national and international experts will provide answers, offering exclusive insights into best-practice solutions, local systems, and the nursing education of their countries of origin.
Registration and Participation Conditions
Registration is available through the event website "International Nursing Congress 2025 – Hof University."
The participation fee is €150, which includes catering on the congress day.
The registration deadline is February 21, 2025, and spaces are limited.
