Contract awarded to international duo: the German architecture firm HENN and C.F. Møller Architects from Denmark are planning the new MHH together.
Another milestone on the road to the new Hannover Medical School (MHH) has been reached: the so-called object planning services for construction phase 1 have been officially awarded. The contract was awarded to HENN x CF Møller, a partnership between the German architectural firm HENN and C.F. Møller Architects from Denmark. The international duo has been working together on hospital projects in Germany since 2016. Inspired by Scandinavian values and with a holistic design approach, the joint work focuses not only on architectural quality but also on social aspects and efficient processes. C.F. Møller is synonymous with the globally recognised concept of healing architecture. HENN complements this expertise with its technology-oriented, efficiency-oriented architecture.
New campus at the heart of the Hannover Health Science Campus
Professor Denise Hilfiker-Kleiner, President of the MHH: "The MHH is an integration model for the close linking of research, teaching and patient care, which is also promoted by its structural concept. This has also led to the close coordination of its clinical and scientific priorities, enabling the future-oriented, innovative cutting-edge medicine and patient care for which the MHH has enjoyed a worldwide reputation for 60 years. The design envisages a highly efficient and sustainable new hospital building that fits perfectly with my vision for the MHH as an excellent university and the heart of the Hannover Health Science Campus.’
