Im Mai 2025 wurden zahlreiche Mitarbeitende des Universitätsklinikums Regensburg (UKR) für ihre herausragenden Leistungen in Forschung, klinischer Versorgung und interdisziplinärer Zusammenarbeit geehrt. Die folgenden Ehrungen stehen exemplarisch für die Vielfalt, Qualität und Relevanz der Arbeit am UKR – für Patientenversorgung auf höchstem Niveau und medizinischen Fortschritt im nationalen wie internationalen Kontext.
Prof. Dr. Martina Müller-Schilling, Direktorin der Klinik und Poliklinik für Innere Medizin I am Universitätsklinikum Regensburg (UKR), wurde von der Victor Babeș University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Timișoara mit dem Ehrentitel „Doctor honoris causa“ ausgezeichnet.
Prof. Müller-Schilling würdigte die Ehrung mit den Worten: „Diese Auszeichnung ist für mich eine große Ehre und Inspiration sowie Verantwortung, weiterhin Brücken über Grenzen, Institutionen und Disziplinen hinweg zu bauen.“
