Frankfurt School of Finance & Management is pleased to welcome Eckart Windhagen as new Professor of Practice in Financial Transformation. He joined Frankfurt School on 1 November 2025 and becomes Co-Director of the Centre for European Transformation (CfET). With his long-standing experience as Senior Partner and global leader at McKinsey & Company, as well as his deep expertise in strategy, transformation, and capital markets, Professor Windhagen strengthens the Centre’s unique mission to bridge research and practice. The CfET explores how Europe can finance its transformation – from green and digital investments to industrial competitiveness and strategic autonomy.

About Eckart Windhagen
Professor Eckart Windhagen is a recognised expert in banking, finance, and transformation, having served as Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company in Frankfurt for nearly three decades. He led multiple global banking practices, contributed to the McKinsey Global Institute, and played a pivotal role in research and risk management—particularly in technology and macroeconomic transformation. Windhagen holds a doctorate in European competition law from the Universities of Bonn and Munich, and is active in advisory and academic roles across Europe. He regularly contributes to thought leadership on banking and finance and is deeply engaged in fostering the dialogue between the public and private sectors.
