On March 3rd and 4th, 2026, the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Mathematics ITWM will organize – supported by Optence e.V., the VDI/VDE Society for Measurement and Automation Technology, and the German Society for Non-Destructive Testing (DGZfP) – the twelfth International Workshop on Terahertz Technology and Applications 2026. The call for papers runs until December 19th.
Terahertz technology has proven to be a valuable tool for applications in diagnostics, measurement and testing. However, the industrial use of this technology raises some difficult questions. The »International Workshop Terahertz Technology and Applications« promotes the exchange of knowledge and experience between academia and industry in this exciting and rapidly evolving field of research.
Thematic Focus of the Workshop:
- Industrial Applications
- Homeland Aecurity
- Communication
- Astronomy and Astrophysics
- New Terahertz System Technologies
Contributions are also welcome from other subject areas. We encourage experts from science and industry to present new developments. The workshop is accompanied by an industrial exhibition.
The following renowned experts have confirmed their participation and give an invited lecture:
Peter Uhd Jepsen, Technical University of Denmark, Denmark
Josep Miquel Jornet, Northeastern University, USA
Emma MacPherson, University of Warwick, United Kingdom
Harrison Noel Lees, University of Adelaide, Australia

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.
You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).
Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.
You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).
If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
