Leistungsfähige Software spielt in Produktionsprozessen längst eine tragende Rolle. Aber auch unsere unmittelbare Lebenswelt wird mehr und mehr von Produkten mit hohem Softwareanteil geprägt: Autos, Mobiltelefone, Waschmaschinen, Steuerungen von Geräten im Haus - die Liste der Gegenstände, wird immer länger.
Eine wesentliche Rolle bei der Entwicklung und Realisierung spielen methodische Konzepte wie die Fuzzy Logik, Neuronale Netze oder Evolutionäre Algorithmen - die mit dem Begriff Computational Intelligence zusammen gefasst werden. Auf den 8. Dortmunder Fuzzy-Tagen referieren Experten aus 30 Ländern in 68 Vorträgen über sinnvolle Einsatzmöglichkeiten intelligenter Methoden der Informatik.
