Veranstaltung des Instituts für Geodäsie und Geoinformationstechnik und des Technischen Hilfswerks
Das Technische Hilfswerk (THW) und das Institut für Geodäsie und Geoinformationstechnik der TU Berlin laden am Samstag, dem 22. Januar 2005 zu einer gemeinsamen Veranstaltung mit dem Thema "GPS-Einsatz im Katastrophenschutz" ein. Die Veranstaltung findet von 9.00 Uhr bis 18.00 Uhr auf dem Gelände der KRONE GmbH, Beeskowdamm 3 - 11 in 14167 Berlin statt.
Im Dialog zwischen Wissenschaftlern der TU Berlin und Anwendern von satellitengestützten Navigations- und Ortungsverfahren des THW soll das Zuverlässigkeits- und Genauigkeitspotenzial von verschiedenen GPS-Messmethoden kritisch behandelt werden. GPS steht für Globales Positionierungssystem.
