Rund 60 internationale Beiträge in neun Sprachen aus den Bereichen romanische Lexikographie, Namenforschung, Sprachgeschichte, Soziolinguistik und Literatur enthält die Festschrift Novi te ex nomine. Estudos filolóxicos ofrecidos ao Prof. Dr. Dieter Kremer, die das Institut für Galicische Sprache der Trierer Partneruniversität Santiago de Compostela für den Trierer Romanisten Prof. Dr. Dieter Kremer aus Anlass seines 60. Geburtstages zusammengestellt hat.
Die von Prof. Dr. Ana Isabel Boullón und Prof. Dr. Ramón Lorenzo betreute Publikation will nicht nur die romanistischen Aktivitäten oder den portugiesischen Schwerpunkt der Forschungstätigkeit ehren, sondern auch die besonderen Kontakte zwischen Deutschland und Galicien und hier insbesondere Trier und Santiago betonen. Hierfür steht stellvertretend das Galicien-Zentrum (Centro de Documentación de Galicia) und das Stiftungslektorat Galicisch der Universität Trier. Die Überreichung fand am 14. Januar 2005 im Rahmen eines offiziellen Aktes in der Philologischen Fakultät der Universität Santiago statt. An der vom Rektor geleiteten Veranstaltung nahmen zahlreiche akademische Freunde und Kollegen und Persönlichkeiten des öffentlichen Lebens teil, darunter die Staatssekretäre für Universitätswesen und Sprachpolitik, der Präsident des Consello da Cultura Galega, die Direktorin der Fundación Pedro Barrié de la Maza, der Direktor des Instituto da Lingua Galega, die Schriftsteller und Akademiker Luz Pozo und Méndez Ferrín und hohe Delegierte der Real Academia Galega, der Academia Portuguesa da História und des Instituto Camões (Lissabon).
