Die 9. Fachtagung Baustatik-Baupraxis findet am 14. und 15. März 2005 an der Technischen Universität Dresden statt. Veranstalter sind die Lehrstühle und Institute für Statik im deutschsprachigen Raum - vertreten durch die Forschungsvereinigung Baustatik-Baupraxis und unterstützt von der German Association for Computational Mechanics (GACM). Die Organisation der Fachtagung, die seit 1981 im Abstand von drei Jahren an wechselnden Hochschulorten durchgeführt wird, liegt in den Händen von Prof. Graf, Prof. Möller, Prof. Ruge und Prof. Zastrau (alle Fakultät Bauingenieurwesen).
Die Tagung soll den direkten Kontakt und Gedankenaustausch zwischen Hochschulen und Baupraxis fördern. Deshalb umfasst das Programm sowohl die Präsentation herausragender aktueller Bauwerke als auch die Vorstellung anwendungsbezogener Forschungsergebnisse der Hochschulinstitute. Die Themen der Fachtagung Baustatik-Baupraxis sind für viele Anwendungen im Konstruktiven Ingenieurbau von Bedeutung. Schwerpunkte der Dresdner Tagung 2005 sind
