Amerikanischer Soziologe zu Gast an der Friedrich-Schiller-Universität
Jena (22.04.05) Das Institut für Soziologie und der Sonderforschungsbereich (SFB) 580 der Universität Jena haben in diesem Sommersemester Prof. Dr. Mikk Titma von der Stanford University (USA) zu Gast. Prof. Titma hält am Institut Vorlesungen und Seminare über den Elitenwandel in postsozialistischen Ländern und berät den SFB 580 "Gesellschaftliche Entwicklungen nach dem Systemumbruch" in methodischen und inhaltlichen Forschungsfragen.
"Es ist eine hohe Anerkennung für den Sonderforschungsbereich und das Institut, dass sich ein Professor der renommierten Stanford University für ein Semester nach Jena verpflichten lässt", sagt der Sprecher des SFB Prof. Dr. Heinrich Best. Finanziert wird der Aufenthalt des amerikanischen Soziologen von der Deutschen Forschungsgemeinschaft.
