"Violences postcoloniales: perceptions médiatiques, représentations littéraires - Postkoloniale Gewalt: mediale Wahrnehmungen und literarische Darstellungen"

Viele Gegenden in der postkolonialen Welt werden mit Gewalt verbunden: Haïti, Rwanda, Liberia, Sierra Leone usw. Diese Orte konnotieren im kollektiven Denken sowohl körperliche als auch symbolische Gewalt. Das internationale Kolloquium verfolgt das Ziel, die Darstellung dieser Gewalt sowohl in den Medien als auch in der Literatur zu hinterfragen. Folgende Hauptthemen werden ausführlich behandelt: Verhältnis zwischen postkolonialer Gewalt und kolonialer Vergangenheit, literarische Darstellungen und Gattungs- bzw. Rezeptionsproblematik, postkoloniale Gewalt und Alltagssprache (Umgangssprache, Musik).
Im Rahmen des Kolloquiums findet außerdem eine Lesung von Hans Christoph Buch am 17. Juni um 19.00 Uhr in der Buchhandlung Bock & Seip in Saarbücken sowie am Samstag, 18. Juni eine abschließende Table Ronde mit Journalisten und Wissenschaftlern unter Leitung von Dr. Sven Behrmann (Saarländischer Rundfunk) statt.
Das Kolloquium wird gemeinsam von Prof. Dr. Hans-Jürgen Lüsebrink (Lehrstuhl für Romanische Kulturwissenschaft und Interkulturelle Kommunikation, Universität des Saarlandes) und Prof. Dr. Isaac Bazié (Département d'études littéraires, Université du Québec à Montréal, z. Z. Stipendiat der Alexander von Humboldt-Stiftung an der Universität des Saarlandes) organisiert.
