Im Rahmen des internationalen Kolloquiums "Violences postcoloniales: perceptions médiatiques et représentations littéraires - Postkoloniale Gewalt: mediale Wahrnehmungen und literarische Darstellungen " (17./18. Juni 2005) findet
am Freitag, den 17. Juni 2005,
um 19.00 Uhr
in der Buchhandlung Bock & Seip,
Futterstraße 2, 66111 Saarbrücken
eine Lesung mit Hans Christoph Buch statt.
Zu den bekanntesten Werken des Schriftstellers und Essayisten gehören "Kain und Abel in Afrika" (Volk und Welt, 2001), "Blut im Schuh - Schlächter und Voyeure an den Fronten des Weltbürgerkriegs" (Eichborn, 2001) sowie "Standort Bananenrepublik - Streifzüge durch die postkoloniale Welt" (Klampen, 2004).
Hans Christoph Buch trägt während der Lesung insbesondere aus dem letztgenannten Buch vor. Im Anschluss besteht Gelegenheit zur Diskussion.
Hans Christoph Buch studierte in Berlin Germanistik und Slawistik und lehrte unter anderem an den Universitäten von Bremen, San Diego, Essen, New York, Austin, Frankfurt, Hongkong und Buenos Aires.
