Zwei Mitglieder des HRK-Präsidiums sind durch das Plenum der Hochschulrektorenkonferenz am 14. Juni in Berlin in ihren Ämtern bestätigt worden:
Professor Dr. Stefan Hormuth (55) ist Vizepräsident für Internationale Angelegenheiten. Der Präsident der Universität Gießen und Professor für Sozialpsychologie ist seit August 2001 im Amt.
Professor Dr. Helmut Ruppert (64) betreut das Ressort Studium und Lehre. Er ist Präsident der Universität Bayreuth und Professor für Didaktik der Geographie. HRK-Vizepräsident ist er seit August 2003.
Die Amtszeiten der HRK-Vizepräsidenten betragen zwei Jahre und beginnen jeweils am
1. August.
