Die Fakultät Vermessung, Informatik und Mathematik der Hochschule für Technik Stuttgart veranstaltet gemeinsam mit der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Geometrie und Grafik am 30. Juni und 01. Juli ein internationales Symposium zum Thema Geometrisches Modellieren, Visualisieren und Bildverarbeitung
Das Symposium mit dem Schwerpunkt der Geometrie in industriellen Anwendungen wird Kontakte sowohl im nationalen und internationalen Hochschulbereich als auch mit Partnern aus Industrie und Wirtschaft vertiefen. Vorträge und eine Postersession werden den Forschungs- bzw. Entwicklungsstand in Gebieten wie Animation, Geometrische Datenreduktion, Computer Aided Geometric Design, Virtual Reality oder Bildverarbeitung in industriellen Anwendungen darstellen und aktuelle Aufgabenstellungen vorstellen. Den Besucher erwarten spannende und aufschlussreiche Beiträge, die nicht zuletzt auch eine Positionsbestimmung mit Blick auf die Umstrukturierung des Studienangebots (Bachelor/Master) sein sollen.
